Chef G On 4Th Thai Street Food

This was my second time at Chef G on 4th Thai Street Food, and I came back specifically for the spicy catfish. It’s just that good, and honestly, this visit was even better than my first. We also ordered Thai tea and the fish cake, which works well as either an appetizer or even a main bite on its own. For entrées, we had the drunken noodles with crispy pork and of course the spicy catfish. Both were packed with flavor. We chose a spice level of 4 out of 5, but honestly, we could’ve gone with a 5 since we ended up adding the pickled jalapeños and Sriracha from the table. For dessert we got the classic mango sticky rice. It was so good even though we were stuff it’s a must. If you’re looking for authentic Thai food in Alhambra, this place is a must-try. The service was excellent, and the restaurant has that cozy mom-and-pop feel where you can still carry a conversation without raising your voice. Parking is easy with a free public lot in the back, plus street parking if needed. I’ll definitely keep coming back with friends and family and highly recommend Chef G on 4th to anyone craving quality Thai food.

My go-to Thai restaurant in SGV! Food is authentic Thai, and great service (accommodated to different taste preferences-more sour, less spicy, etc). As a Thai, I can testify that their food has authentic flavors. We usually order Pad Seew & mango sticky rice. Their salty garlic fried shrimps are amazing also. It’s not a big place so it could get crowded during lunch and dinner times.

The food was really good. Portions are a bit small. There was no wait for us at 6pm on a week day. Knock off one star since they gave us a glass that still has lipstick mark on it.
